CIMANET Showcases Future Leaders in Circular Materials Bioeconomy at Helsinki Seminar
CIMANET convened researchers, industry representatives, and public-sector stakeholders at the Scandic Marina Congress Center to spotlight emerging talent and collaboration in the circular materials bioeconomy. The research seminar featured keynote talks on forest resources, management, and policy, alongside industry perspectives on the CIMANET pilot program and the growing need for doctoral expertise in Finland’s bioeconomy.
CIMANET convened researchers, industry representatives, and public-sector stakeholders at the Scandic Marina Congress Center to spotlight emerging talent and collaboration in the circular materials bioeconomy. The research seminar featured keynote talks on forest resources, management, and policy, alongside industry perspectives on the CIMANET pilot program and the growing need for doctoral expertise in Finland’s bioeconomy.
Twenty CIMANET doctoral researchers presented their projects through dynamic talks, complemented by a lively poster session that encouraged cross-sector dialogue and new partnerships. Attendees included academic experts from partner universities, research and technology organizations, and industry leaders.
CIMANET extended special thanks to keynote speakers Maarit Lindström and Elina Warsta, as well as its industrial and academic partners, attendees, and the network’s doctoral researchers. The event underscored the momentum behind Finland’s transition to sustainable, bio-based material systems and the vital role of next-generation scientists in driving that change.
