CIMANET at ChemBio2026

The University of Helsinki’s CIMANET network drew a full house at ChemBio/Kemian Päivät 2026 in Messukeskus, hosting two parallel seminars that brought together researchers, students, and industry partners for keynotes, panel discussions, student talks, and poster sessions.

The first seminar, “Chemistry of bio-based materials,” examined how bio-based and circular materials can help address current sustainability challenges. The second, “Bio-based material value chains and lifecycles,” focused on adoption pathways and ensuring sustainability across the lifecycle of bio-based materials.

Organizers reported strong engagement throughout the day, crediting speakers, panelists, student presenters, poster contributors, and volunteers for an insightful and energizing program. The lively participation underscored the community’s growing commitment to advancing sustainable materials and fostering collaboration across academia and industry.
