Main objectives:
- Develop novel methods for reconstructing lignin linkages to access hundreds of bioactive natural products
- Design new biomimetic synthetic methods to produce ketoalcohol lignans and polyhydroxylated neolignans as pharmaceutical precursors
- Conduct total synthesis of ciwujiatone
